Thank you for using LightPic. LightPic respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how LightPic handles data related to photo organization, daily photo review, similar photo scanning, location categories, and in-app purchases.

Information We Handle

LightPic does not require account registration and does not ask for your name, phone number, account password, or similar account credentials.

LightPic may process the following information on your device:

This information is mainly stored on your device and is used to provide photo search, daily review, category browsing, similar photo cleanup, and deletion confirmation features.

Photos and Videos

LightPic needs photo library access to read your library and build local indexes. Photo content analysis, similar photo fingerprint generation, and review state are mainly processed on your device.

LightPic does not upload original photos or videos to LightPic servers.

If you choose limited photo access in iOS, LightPic can only access the photos you authorize. To organize your full library, allow access to all photos in system Settings.

Location Information

LightPic uses GPS metadata in photos to provide location-based categories.

For locations in China, LightPic prioritizes built-in or locally stored offline geographic data.

For locations outside China, when regional breakdowns below the country level are needed, LightPic may use Apple system geocoding services. In that case, coordinates may be sent to Apple's system geocoding service for lookup, but original photos or videos are not uploaded. This capability is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's system services and privacy practices.

In-App Purchases and Review Credits

LightPic uses Apple StoreKit for in-app purchases. Purchases, payments, refunds, and Apple ID related payment information are handled by Apple. LightPic does not receive your full payment card information.

LightPic stores review credits, Lifetime Pro status, processed transaction records, and consumed credit records locally to determine whether paid review features are available.

To sync review credit status across your devices, LightPic may use iCloud Key-Value Store to store a small amount of data related to review credits and purchase status. This sync feature is provided by Apple iCloud.

Photo Deletion

When you choose to delete photos in LightPic, the app uses the iOS photo library deletion flow. Deletion affects photos in the system photo library.

Clearing LightPic local caches, indexes, or review records does not delete system photos.

Ads and Third-Party Analytics

LightPic currently does not include third-party advertising SDKs and does not use third-party behavior analytics SDKs.

Data Storage and Deletion

LightPic category indexes, similar photo fingerprints, review state, and caches are mainly stored locally on your device.

You can clear local caches, category indexes, similar photo fingerprints, and review state in LightPic Settings. You can also delete the app to remove local data stored on your device.

If iCloud Key-Value Store is enabled, synced review credit status may be retained and synced by iCloud across your devices.

Children's Privacy

LightPic does not knowingly collect personal information from children. LightPic does not require account creation and does not actively collect children's personal identity information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy based on feature changes, legal requirements, or App Store review requirements. When updated, the effective date on this page will be changed.
